Summary

A residential building, with two symmetrical facades, including a typical, vertical accentuation of the stairwell and typical arrangement of projecting balconies. The use of shades of color in the renovation of the building highlights the whole arrangement of the facades and the secondary elements of details of the banisters, which are seen again in the railing of the courtyard. The architect of the addition is Zadik Elyakim. Engineer Haim Sokolinsky studied in Kiev and had great knowledge in the coating with washed plaster (wash putz) - a technique using small stones, which, after spraying with water, become exposed and create a rough fabric. Sokolinsky used to insert transparent stones in the concrete layer - such as broken of glass and sometimes a grayish or pinkish pigment - as decorative elements.
