The Jewish Museum of Entre Rios Concordia opened in October 2007. It is a legacy of Dr.Victor Oppel, whose family originally from Transylvania was captured by the Nazis and taken to Auschwitz. There was a complex of various concentration camps, medical experimentation and mass extermination of prisoners, built by the regime of Nazi Germany after the invasion of Poland in 1939, during World War II. Dr. Oppel saved his life because he was assigned to given its physique hard labor. The rest of his family was gassed.
