Summary

During the 13th century the city of Caceres had a big Jewish population. During the 15th century there was a total of 2,000 Jews in the city, but in 1492 they were expelled by Queen Isabella and Ferdinand of Aragon. However the Jewish presence of that time still remains, in the Jewish Quarter at Barrio San Antonio.
