Summary

The New Jewish Cemetery in Zamosc opened in 1907, with the last burial taking place in 1941. The cemetery was completely destroyed during World War II. In 1950 Jews from Zamosc who survived the Holocaust erected a monument where the cemetery used to be. In 1991 a metal fence was constructed around the former cemetery.
